NVMe SSD raw partition after resizing and moving with Your tool BSOD

Hello Dear Customer Support,

because Win10 has currently (https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/topic/kb5028997-anweisungen-zum-manuellen-ändern-der-partitionsgröße-zum-installieren-des-winre-updates-400faa27-9343-461c-ada9-24c8229763bf) an update error when recovery partition is too small I used Your tool AOMEI Partition Assistant 10.0 (I guess but not latest version 10.2.2 for sure) to make C: smaller and move from left to right because my recovery partition is left of C: and enlarge the recovery partition to 1GB from 500MB.

I didnt use the "check-mark for use fast and safe resize" option for C:

PC went into restart and PreOS Mode

I made 2 pictures of this and attached it.

It took 2 hours I guess till ca 900 GB/916.05 GB or similar at some point before saying everything done I got a blue screen of death BSOD error and a restart after it and then nothing worked anymore.

So the moving was not fully completed and also not the resizing after it. (I wanted the first partition grow from 499 MB to 1GB) and C: shrink accordingly from 921GB.

Using Windows Recovery USB Stick I could access my broken NVMe SSD 1TB and saw now C: is in RAW file format!

I also have a picture in the attachment of it

How exactly did Your program move my data from left to right?

Why it needs to move all data and not only left part into free spaces?

I need this information to figure out how to get my personal data back.

Please be very specific and treat me like somebody who knows technical stuff.

You should know best how to get my data back, but somehow I lost trust that You can do, seeing Your software at work and no help in the forums from similar case one month back!

What is Your solution for my huge problem, I am so devastated because I don't have a backup!

I trusted Your software, I used it on other Laptop in version 10.2.2 but only shrinking from right side without moving, and it was successfully in the fast mode, so I thought Your software is able to do successfully on my main PC too.

I don't understand why You have this fast mode and secure option and the other option is slow and unsecure? Why would You even publish a software like this.

Why is shrinking from right side so fast but from left side so slow?

Please help me

  • @Stefan123, Please try to install and use AOMEI Partition Assistant on another working computer, then create a Winpe bootable media. Then, please boot the "damaged" computer from WinPE, then take a screenshot so that we check.

Aomei support recommends choosing WinPE mode, instead of the older PreOS mode, if the app asks you. PA Pro is good software with a lot of useful features, however, PreOS mode is the 1 feature that a lot of people post about receiving errors while using.
A RAW Partition means the partition is corrupted, or unreadable. It means you are now going to perform data recovery on that partition, using a free USB utility. You could use Recuva app to scan & recover files. After you recover as many files as possible, then you should restore the disk from a backup you already made before this error happened.
If the data on the RAW partition are important, please go to another working PC, and create an Aomei USB utility, and clone the entire disk using Exact-Sector-By-Sector method, to an empty disk of equal or larger size. Then use the new cloned disk to scan & recover data, that is the safest way to do data recovery.
You could email Aomei to let them know you are another person whos PC crashed after using PreOS Mode.
