Creating a WinPE USB Srick

edited January 27 in AOMEI Products Support
If I need to create a WinPE USB stick before restoring from a system backup because of a crash on computer A may I create it from computer B (both Win10) and then use it to restore computer A? How much memory must the USB stick have?

Also, will a restore from a system backup put computer A back to the state it was in prior to the crash, including Windows, all programs and apps and all data?

I am using AOMEI Backupper Standard.

Thanks

You may create your Aomei USB stick on any PC you like. If you want to create an Aomei Pro USB stick, you need to be on the PC that has Aomei Pro software to do that.
Aomei has a free combo USB stick, but it works best on older PCs.
"How much memory must the USB stick have?"
    1GB+
    Backupper WinPE USB:
Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary. Does not work with some monitors.

    Partition Assistant WinPE USB:
Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary.

    Aomei WinPE Builder USB:
Best for PCs from or before 2019, includes Partition Assistant, Backupper, Recuva, 7zip, OSF Mount, CPU-Z, Bootice, DiskMgmt.msc. Supports x64 portable apps. Does not support any additional drivers, such as some internal NVMe disks.

"will a restore from a system backup put computer A back to the state it was in?"
Yes, it will be exactly as it was when you made the backup. Becareful when you restore to a disk, it will erase all data currently on the disk, with no recovery.
