I couldn't edit the comment to correct 50 GB; it should be 8 GB.

Yes, old issue, still unresolved. Backupper ignores registry settings FilesNotToSnapShot and FilesNotToBackup when it comes to hiberfil.sys
-
Here we are, two years and several versions later, and hiberfil.sys is still included in the backup, wasting 8 GB.Are there any plans to really address this issue?
-
Is anyone actually looking into this problem? The OP is from June 2019!
-
You have released several versions since your last reply. Have you managed to find out why hiberfil.sys is not excluded from the backup? Are you planning to fix this?

This is totally unacceptable. I cannot use drivers that require my customers to jump through loops every time the computer reboots -- they may not even know that it has rebooted! BSOD is a symptom of totally incompetent design.

When I request a Disk Backup I can only select drives with assigned letters, not full physical drives. How do I backup an entire physical drive, with all the partitions included?
-
Where are we with this?

Any news with this?

I am still puzzled. The key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToSnapshot includes neither \pagefile.sys nor \hiberfil.sys and yet pagefile.sys does not get backed up while hiberfil.sys does.
-
Well, perhaps it would be a good idea to create one, so we can finally address the issue of the Backup Scheme failing to work as advertised.

Crash dump analysis points to ABCore.exe, to amwrtdrv.sy…Be aware that when after installing an update you must reinstall the patch. At least that was true when installing 5.2.
You have release two updates (5.1 and 5.2) since the patch was found to be effective. I don't understand why it was not included in those updates. Was does Symantec have to do with this?
I am getting backup failures as a result of Windows unattended restarts, without disabling Driver Signature Enforcement. When is the patch going to be released? It is essential to have it installed properly!
Version 5.2 released. Have they lost their own patch? Or perhaps they think the patch is the final solution? Totally unacceptable! Minus five stars for service.
After applying patch, I found another issue. when I try another backup task, pop up error "The Program did not find the system partition"You have to make sure you follow the instructions that came with the patch…I cannot understand why the patch that solves the amwrtdrv.sys BSOD bug was not included in 5.1 -- we have been waiting long enough, it seems very clear that the patch works, we need it in production. I have been running scheduled backups for a week now without any BSOD. It looks like the patch solved the problem. I installed the patch and subsequently I had another crash, which is rather disappointing. I have the impression that the crashes occur when using Windows Scheduler to run Backupper, but not when using the internal scheduling service.
