Note: You need to pay attention to the following two things if you’re trying to sync music from PC to iPhone via iTunes.

  • Limited music sources allowed. You are only allowed to sync songs purchased from the iTunes store via iTunes; items downloaded from other sources or copied from CDs are not on the list because they will not be recognized at all.
  • Data loss. Any current media files on your iPhone, like music, ringtones, playlists, and so on, will be lost if you sync a few songs or the complete iTunes collection to the iPhone. Because synchronizing with iTunes will wipe out all of your existing information.

Option 3. Sync music to iPhone from PC without iTunes

If you have encountered problems like iPhone not showing up in iTunes when trying to sync music using iTunes, or you don't want to lose any existing data on your iPhone, you can choose an iTunes alternative, for example, FoneTool, a free yet powerful iOS transfer program allows you to transfer music to iPhone without iTunes.

It has the following advantages over transferring music via iTunes:

Fast speed. With high transfer speeds, you can share any type of music from any source, whether purchased or non-purchased music.
Free of data loss. The existing media files on your iPhone are unaffected when you sync music from your PC to it.
Multiple functions. It not only supports iOS data transfer but also data backup, data restore, data erasion, photo deduplication, etc.
Wide compatibility. It is compatible with almost any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, as well as Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7.
