The issue: Tones not showing up in iTunes

“Hello, guys! I’m planning to transfer tones to my newly purchased iPhone 14. But I can’t find “Tones” tab in iTunes. Why is the Tones tab not appearing in iTunes Library? How to fix the issue?” Any suggestion?”

Why is the Tones not showing and how to resolve it?

iTunes, a digital media playback app and free app for Mac and PC, is released on January 10, 2001. It can be used to manage and backup iPhone data, like music, photos, etc. In iTunes 12.7 for Mac and PC, Apple not only removed the Tones feature but also removed “Apps” feature and focus on music, movies, TV shows, products, and audiobooks.

iTunes Change

That is to say, iTunes changes its regime, and then you can’t see Tones and Apps in iTunes 12.7 Library and its later versions, which can’t be fixed. Apple recommends you use Sounds Settings to redownload the tones without your PC.

Of course, if your iTunes is 12.6 or earlier version but Tones is not showing, you can go to “Preferences” > “General” and check whether the “Tones” box is checked. If not, check it and you can see the Tones tab in iTunes Library.

Bonus tip:

To check the iTunes version, you can run it on your computer, then go to “Help” > “About iTunes” and then you can see the version of your iTunes.
