Clicking on Performance tab can cause a crash
Microsoft recently pushed Build 22538 to Windows 11 users in the Dev Preview group, and according to user feedback, a more serious bug has appeared in this version of the system.
Microsoft pushed the Windows 11 Build 22538.1010 update to Dev Preview users on Jan 20. This update brings a new voice command to the virtual keyboard, which allows you to type the number corresponding to the key. However, the update also brings a serious bug, that is, clicking the "Performance" tab of Task Manager will cause the program to become unresponsive and stuck, and force quit. At the same time, the probability of triggering the bug is 100%, any case will be triggered by clicking the performance tab.
Microsoft has just introduced a new Task Manager in Build 22538
Previously, some users found that in Build 22538, Microsoft introduced a task manager designed in Windows 11 style with Fluent Design, but hid it.
The task manager has adjusted the tabs to the sidebar and added a semi-transparent visual effect, which is more simple and beautiful than the current task manager. However, the task manager is still in the early stage, many features are not available, and the UI is not fully adapted, further optimization is needed.
Currently, it is not certain what causes the crash bug in the performance tab of the old Task Manager, but some users believe that there is a relationship with the addition of the new version of Task Manager.
