Why register a portable AOMEI Backupper Technician?

I've created a portable AOMEI Backupper Technician on a USB key. I now can start AOMEI Backupper from that USB key by double clicking the Backupper.exe file. It works as expected.

I saw there's a Register.exe executable. Why should one register? The documentation doesn't tell what it's used for.

@ mmeulien If you need to use the paid features, you need to register it by clicking the Register.exe.

I haven't found in the documentation an explicit description of the what registering does but I now understand.
