Image and Backup Questions

Hi.
Just started using aome! and have 2 questions
1. I have a SSD with 2 partitions: Windows (C:) and a working data partition (D:).
When creating a disk image can I just backup (C:)? If I go this route and do a restore will aome! do anything with (D:)?
2. Backup or sync my data files. I have backed it up once and plan to sync the files from here on in. Is this the proper way to do this?

Thanks
James

If you use Disk Backup, and then restore it to disk, it will erase all data currently on disk.
If you use System Backup, and then restore it to disk, it will only erase the disk, if there is not currently enough space on disk.
    "can I just backup (C:)"
Yes, you can do a Partition Backup.
If you do a Disk Restore, or System Restore, it will boot Windows afterward. However, if you do a Partition Restore, it will restore the partition, but it will not be bootable.

Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary. Does not work on some Monitors.

  • I noticed if I selecy 'Disk Backup' I can only select the entire disk with all partitions.
If I restore this backup will it restore the disk and all partitions?

"Will it restore the disk and all partitions?"
If you restore a disk backup, you may choose to restore the entire disk, or specific partitions.
Before doing any disk operation, please always backup your essential files to a small USB drive, or cloud folder.
