backupper std , noob, mixed sys, success w restore Mint ptn, what am I missing? way to label backups
Tried backupper before but stopped because couldn't boot linux stick. Still can't boot linux stick so created winPE stick which boots fine.
Backed up nvme 4x4 drive (~100GB of data, 9 partitions, mixed win and linux), to nvme 4x4, at about 1.3GBs throughout (nice).
Since I had previously used another program to back it up ,I felt safe in restoring...
Booted to AOMEI winPE stick and restored an 87GB Mint partition on top of existing boot nvme - ran at about 614MBs throughout (good - not sure why so slow). edit probably because sector copy, which is fine at that speed!
Booted fine so backupper can "handle" linux partitions which was what I needed to know.
What am I missing?
I normally put a label on my images so I know what it is (might have 5-10 images plus off-site stuff - "DISK4" means nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks!
